By the dear old River Rhine - Albert Campbell & Irving Gillette
An earlier Wax Amberol recording released later also on Blue Amberol. Unless the post-1914 recordings this one was recorded directly on cylinder (no dubbing from Diamond Disc). Therefore the earlier Blue Amberols sound very crisp and clear compared to their later counterparts. Edison Blue Amberol #2410 (Wax Amberol 4M-872 Master), recorded in 1911, performed by Albert Campbell and Irving Gillette (Henry Burr).

Liebchen am Bache - Oberbayerische Bauernkapelle
The Cylinder Archive [www.cylinder.de] release for January 2014: This Edison Blue Amberol is one of the later German series and was recorded August of 1917. Given that, we can be sure this cylinder never reached the market in Germany at all as the United States had entered World War in April of that same year. The original recording was made on an Edison Diamond Disc and acoustically dubbed to a cylinder master, which was done surprisingly well...

Beela Boola by the Electric City 4 (1920 disc master) - Electric City 4
After 1915, all Edison records were disc mastered. Blue Amberols were dubbed from disc pressings, and the only direct-mastered cylinders from there on out were reissues of direct-mastered ones. This happens to be a test pressing of Joe Rosey's "Beela Boola", by the Electric City 4 on Edison matrix 7596-B, recorded October 20/9, 1920. Notice the improved clarity over the dubbed Blue Amberol version, from the Cylinder Preservation and Digitization Project...
